Come, experience Israel with us!

The Mount Carmel School of Ministry (SOM) was begun in the year 2000 as an intensive immersion into modern Israel for Christians from every nation. The original vision was to provide an “antidote” to the standard “Holy Land” tour where Christian pilgrims rarely met a local Messianic believer and never worshipped in an Israeli Messianic congregation. The SOM was designed to bring Christians into a vibrant local community of believing Jews and Arabs and then show them the sites of biblical significance in Israel through the eyes of the local body. Back in 2000, our first guest speaker was Bible teacher Derek Prince and over the years, thousands of participants have come from all over the world to be a part of the program.

The COVID pandemic came in 2020 and war in Gaza erupted in 2023 forced us to suspend our operations for a season. However, now, the SOM is being renamed and relaunched with the same vision and spirit for another generation of Christians seeking biblical truth in the land that Jesus called home. The new program is called the Carmel Experience (CE). It features worship and prayer in the community of Carmel Congregation, anointed biblical teaching from local leaders and a guided tour of Israel with a licensed Messianic guide. The CE is an updated and streamlined spiritual experience in Israel that is designed to be even more relevant to the needs of Christians today.

We are looking forward to hearing from you about registration and are always available to answer questions.

Worship with the Carmel Community

Our local congregation was founded in 1991 on the very top of Mount Carmel outside the city of Haifa in northern Israel. The Carmel Experience begins with a welcome by Israeli believers and a Shabbat worship service.

Shalom Staff,
I have not stopped rejoicing and telling others of my experience at the school of ministry and my time amongst your beautiful congregation of believers. I will never be the same after my time with you. I feel different; literally; like I can “feel” the depth and breadth and wonder of my Hebraic roots, a deep gratitude and love for the Jewish people and a real yearning and desire to pray and see the glory of the Lord breakout in unprecedented ways in your midst. I can feel the joy and wonder and power of your gathering already. Praying with and for you, His Wonder-full Kingdom Come 🙌🙏💕
